VAO arrested while receiving bribe

The Anti-corruption police today arrested the Village Administrative Officer of Thandalaiputhur near Musiri while allegedly receiving Rs 8000 a bribe for effecting name transfer in patta book today.
Police said the VAO Latha demanded the bribe from K Kanagaraj(60), who gave a complaint to the vigilance and anti corruption police.
The police set a trap and arrested Latha while receiving the bribe. She had been remanded to Judicial custody.
