"While interacting with students at AIIMS here, I asked them not to leave this country after they pass out as is the trend these days. I told them to stay back and use their expertise for the service of the people of the country.
"I also asked them to dedicate a part of their career to the service of people living in remote areas who are deprived of good medical facilities," he told reporters in Rishikesh.
"Health is central to the well-being of our people and we want the sector to remain free from all sorts of politics and run the health schemes like a national mission," Harsh Vardhan said.
Earlier, the Union Health Minister visited party's state office in Dehradun where Pradesh BJP President Tirath Singh Rawat welcomed him.
After spending sometime at the party office in Dehradun, he left for AIIMS, Rishikesh to inspect the facilities there.
