Vardhan, the MP from Chandni Chowk constituency in Delhi, went to Dheerpur accompanied by senior government officials, whom he asked to ascertain as to what developmental projects could be launched at the village.
"People of Dheerpur village have a special privilege as I have adopted their village, but the people of other villages, too, have an equal right. For the betterment of villages, we should not be depended upon government machinery, the participation of masses is equally important," said Vardhan.
He said that an estimate of Rs 11.29 lakh was ready for Dheerpur chaupal and directives have been issued to prepare an action plan for other chaupals.
Further, Vardhan directed Delhi police, DDA, Delhi Jal Board, PWD, the health department and the transport and education department to take up necessary works in his parliamentary constituency.
