Jimmy Shergill and Raghu Ram starrer 'Vartak Nagar', having the reference to the cotton mill strike in Mumbai in the 80s, was screened for the first time at the 'Competition on Indian Language's films' section at the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival, here.
Producer Amit Agarwal told PTI before the screening of the film on Wednesday evening, "There are many layers in the film. While the base layer is Mumbai textile strike in the 1980s, the other important layer is friendship."
