Vashum roped in by Mumbai FC for next edition of I-League

Midfielders Amoes and Reisangmei Vashum would play for the Mumbai FC in the next edition of the I-League Football Championship, starting January17, next year.
Bengaluru-born 20-year-old Amoes has become the second player after Sampath Kutty Mani to join Mumbai FC from last season's I-League champions Bengaluru FC.
Manipuri Vashum brings with him invaluable experience in midfield. He has previously played for Churchill Brothers, East Bengal and Pune FC.
"It's an exciting city. I know there are a lot of football fans in the city and I look forward to seeing them at the Cooperage," said 26-year-old Vashum was quoted as saying in a media release.
"The club has a fantastic coaching staff and a great set of players. I can't wait to play with them during the season ahead," he added.
Amoes was also delighted to have signed for the Mumbai team.

"Mumbai FC is a fantastic opportunity for me to showcase my abilities. My aim is to learn as much as I can under the gaffer's guidance and prove my worth."
"This will be my first professional stint outside my city and I am really really looking forward to it," he added.
Team manager Henry Picardo said the two players would add meat to the Mumbai FC squad.
"They are really good footballers and provide strength-in-depth to the squad," said Picardo.
