Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today condoled the deaths of four Border Security Force (BSF) personnel killed in firing by Pakistan Rangers along the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district.

In her condolence message, Raje said that Assistant Commandant Jatinder Singh of Jaipur, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramniwas of Sikar, Constable Hansraj Gurjar of Alwar and Sub Inspector Rajnish Kumar of Uttar Pradesh had laid their lives to protect the borders and the country was proud of them.

She prayed for peace to the departed souls.

Pakistan Rangers initiated firing along the IB in the Chamliyal post area of Ramgarh sector at 10:30 pm yesterday and it continued till 4:30 am, officials said.

This is the second major ceasefire violation along the IB this month and came despite the representatives of the border guarding forces of the two nations meeting twice within a week to reinforce the 2003 ceasefire pact, they said.
