While potato is selling at Rs 20 a kg in retail in Delhi, a kg of tomota is costing as high as Rs 50, traders said.
Likewise, Cauliflower is available at Rs 60 a kg, capsicum at Rs 70/kg, bottle gourd (Rs 30 per kg), Apple gourd (Rs 40 a kg) and bitter gourd (Rs 32/kg) they said.
However, price of onion at Rs 10 a kg in retail is not a matter of worry.
Prices of important veggies are also showing an upward trend in other metros.
Potato is selling at Rs 20 a kg in retail in Mumbai. While tomato is available at Rs 40 per kg, lady finger is costing Rs 80 per kg and beans Rs 80 a kg in the western metropolitan, reports said.
In Kolkata, potato is available at Rs 18-20 a kg and tomato at Rs 35 per kg.

In Southern metropolis of Chennai, potato is costing Rs 25-30 a kg and tomato Rs 38 per kg, the report said.
Rajendra Sharma, General Secretary of Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) Azadpur, which is Asia's biggest wholesale market of fruits & vegetables, told PTI that only half the daily requirements of tomato is arriving in the market.
This is due to lower production because of delayed and scanty rains.
Subhash Chuk, General Secretary of Tomato Merchants Association, Azadpur said there is short supply of tomato from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh.
According to IMD, though monsoon rains have covered the entire country, it is still deficient by 23 per cent and the situation in Karnataka and Maharashtra is worrisome.
