Amid coronavirus scare, Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu led by example and got himself thermal-scanned when he entered Parliament complex, sources said.
The Rajya Sabha Secretariat has stepped up measures against the spread of coronavirus.
As Naidu entered Parliament complex through gate no 11, he was scanned for temperature by a security person wusing contactless infrared thermal scanner and his body temperature was found normal, they said.
From Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha Secretariat has made scanning of all staff mandatory.
