Mukul Chatterjee died of old-age related problems at a hospital in Bokaro in nearby Jharkhand last night, family members said.

He was 64 and was a bachelor.

Chatterjee was a well-known poet and singer and won several awards in the district.

He publish a magazine on poetry named 'Giraffe' for the past 36 years from Purulia.
