Veterinarian held for getting student admission through fraud

A 30-year-old government assistant veterinary doctor was arrested here today for allegedly getting a student admitted to the MBBS course in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in 2009 by using fraudulent means.
Narendra Tomar, hailing from Morena district, who is presently posted at Raisen district, has been arrested, Special Investigation Team (SIT) district in charge additional superintendent of police (ASP) Devendra Patidar said.
The SIT was probing into the Pre Medical Test (PMT) scam.
He said that Tomar took a huge amount as "commission" from Amar Singh Meda who hails from Jhabua district, to "clear" him in 2009 PMT test using fraudulent means. Meda was arrested ten days ago, he said.
The ASP said that Tomar is being interrogated.
He said that another accused called Rajveer Singh Mourya working with the veterinary department has also been arrested in connection with the case.
