Ferrari struggled to a fourth-place finish in the Constructors' Championship while Raikkonen was outshone by teammate Fernando Alonso in the just-concluded season.
"This year was a difficult one me, for the team. Ferrari normally expects to win championships," Raikkonen told reporters on the sidelines of the Ferrari Challenge 2014 at the Yas Marina Circuit here.
Multiple-time World Champion Vettel joined Ferrari last month, replacing Alonso, and Raikkonen was looking forward to pairing up with the German.
The Finn, who had in the past, apart from his driving, also made headlines for his earnings, believes the team has made the right changes for the 2015 season.
"A lot of changes have been done already for next year. We have the right people to build a good car, we can go back to the good times again."
