"The Karnataka chief minister has no moral right to continue in the chair. He should apologise and resign forthwith for glorifying crusaders like Tipu undermining the dignity of the people of the state," VHP joint general secretary Surendra Jain said in a statement.
The VHP leader accused the Congress of supporting and instigating elements who are promoting violence against the peace-loving people for its political motives and said that the government should learn a lesson from the successful protest and "it should stop teasing Hindus and promoting jihadis".
"They are tolerant for the lives belonging to a particular religion but becomes intolerant for the other... Persistently defaming the country for their vested interests must be stopped," he said.
