Top VHP leaders from Karnataka, however, did not reveal the dates for going ahead with "ghar vapsi", but maintained it was an ongoing programme which started more than three decades ago.
VHP's Udupi Unit Chief Suprasada Shetty told PTI that they were thinking about reconverting some Christian families in Udupi District.
"Some families of Christians, who embraced Christianity a few decades back, want to return to their earlier faith (Hinduism)," he said.
VHP Secretary T A P Shenoy said they have been bringing back people to Hinduism without any force. "We do not and will not use force but cannot stop anyone who wants to return to their original religion," he said.
Shenoy also said the VHP last month had reconverted four people in Bengaluru and will continue to do so anywhere in the state if people approach them.
