Gujarat government will hold six roadshows in the country starting from New Delhi, in the run-up to the Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit to be held in January next year, an official said Wednesday.
The first roadshow will be held on November 16 in Delhi, which will be addressed by chief minister Vijay Rupani.
The state government has already held 24 roadshows around the world in the run-up to the biannual event.
"After organising roadshows in 24 countries, we will have curtain raiser event for the 2019 summit in New Delhi on the 16th. Chief minister Vijay Rupani will be present at the event," Industrial Extension Bureau (INDEXTb) managing director RK Beniwal said.
The other roadshows will be organised in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata, he added.
Beniwal said that the three-day Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit will be different as it will also focus on trade and services, other than investment.

He further said that the state government is also focused on bringing investment in defence sector and intends to develop Dholera special investment region (SIR) for defence sector manufacturing.
Beniwal said that the summit, which will start from January 18, 2019, will also focus on Africa and will have a special event called Africa Day.
