Vice-Chancellors appointed for 2 TN varsities

P Duraisamy and P P Chellathurai were today appointed Vice-Chancellors of Madras and Madurai Kamaraj universities respectively.
Tamil Nadu Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao, also the Chancellor of the state-run universities, appointed them to the posts, lying vacant for more than a year.
A Raj Bhavan release said Duraisamy and Chellathurai were appointed for a period of three years from the date of them assuming the office.
The two received their appointment orders from Rao at the Raj Bhavan today, it added.
