Vice President inaugurates Rs 100 cr culinary institute

Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu Monday inaugurated a Rs 100 crore Indian Culinary Institute, built by the Ministry of Tourism, close toRenigunta airport, 15 km from here.

Speaking after inaugurating the building and campus of the autonomous institute, he said Indian culture, Indian culinary art and the taste of Indian food have its own enormous value across the world.

India is moving forward speedily on all sectors,including the economy and if this continued,the country would become the third largest economy in the world in 10 years, Naidu said.

Union Tourism Minister K J Alphons said that the culinary Institute came up here because of the efforts of the Vice President, "who offered us the brilliant idea to build the institute at this holy city."
