The International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED), a facility under the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, has been set up to offer training to audit officers from India and abroad on environment and sustainable development.
"Research on environment audit is on our agenda. First of all, we would conduct a risk assessment of all states to identify high-risk areas, so that we can plan our research accordingly," iCED principal director Rebecca Mathai today told reporters here.
Low energy and water consumption were some of the eco-friendly features of the building, a CPWD official said.
Apart from the Vice-President, CAG Vinod Rai, Rajasthan Governor Margaret Alva and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot would be present at the inauguration of the building on May 4.
Mathai told reporters today that the centre plans to conduct its first international training in November.
