"Yes in 'Open Tee Bioscope' the two characters of different age groups, the mother and her teenaged son, share their secrets more as friends," Shoojit told PTI about the film, directed by friend Anindyo Chatterjee.
"Me and everyone like us will relate to such confessions to our mom. Of first puff and the first kiss which a boy needs someone to share. And like in Vicky Donor, here too a mom, not much older than her son, turns up to be his true friend," the director said.
