Former Banmore police station in-charge CBS Raghuvanshi and K J Dube, who videographed the body and postmortem, appeared before the court of Justice Anupam Srivastava, where he was examined by CBI's senior public prosecutor A H Khan.

The CBI also tabled various articles including pieces of tyre under which IPS was allegedly killed, a blood-stained stone and the deceased's clothes.

One Manoj Gurjar is accused of mowing down Singh when the latter tried to stop a tractor-trolley loaded with illegally-mined stones in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh on March 8. Thirty-year-old Singh was posted as a sub-divisional officer of police (SDP) at Banmore at the time of incident.

During cross examination by the accused's counsel Mahendra Morya, Raghuvanshi told the court that he recorded statements of three gunmen escorting the IPS officer and a main eye witness Dilip Shivhare, but these were not annexed with the CBI charge sheet.

Immediately, the defence counsel moved a submission before the special judge to provide statements of four persons related to the case.

Whereas the CBI prosecutor apprised the court that the charge sheet was based on its investigation, the statements taken by the police station in-charge were part of a preliminary police probe in the case. Later, the court asked the police station in-charge to come with these statements on November 22.

Later Morya told reporters that Raghuvanshi has not been cross examined completely, and this would be done on next date of the trial as per the court's order.
