Vidit shares lead with three others

Indian Grandmaster Vidit Santosh Gujarathi, along with three other players, share the lead with a perfect score after the third round matches of the 2nd Hyderabad International Grandmasters chess tournament here today.
Playing white side of King's Indian defence game, Vidit showed great tactical skills in the rook and pawn end game to secure full points after 52 moves against Serbian Grandmaster Sinisa Drazic.
Grandmaster Vladislav Borovikov of Ukraine, Grandmaster Azer Mirzoev of Azerbaijan and International Master Mikhail Mozharov of Russia share the top spot along with Vidit after defeating International Master Bahruz Razayev of Azerbaijan, Prince Bajaj and YVK Chakkaravarthy, respectively.
Meanwhile, the dream run of Andhra youngster Dhulipala Bala Chandra Prasad continued as he held Grandmaster Deepan Chakkravarthy to a creditable draw in the third round encounter.
In the earlier rounds, he shocked Grandmaster Vishnu Prasanna and held Grandmaster Neelotpal Das.
In the other important matches of the third round, Grandmaster Lalith Babu signed the peace treaty with International Master Swayams Mishra, while International Master Shyam Nikil held top seed Ivan Popov of Russia.
