Vietnam keen on investing in tourism in Bihar: Ambassador

Vietnam is interested in investing in tourism and fisheries in Bihar, its Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh said today.
The matter was raised when the ambassador met Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi at his official residence to discuss the proposed visit of Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to the state, a press communique from CM House said.
Dung will be on a two-day visit to India from October 27. He will first land at Bodh Gaya and meet Manjhi before flying to New Delhi the same evening.
The ambassador had informed Manjhi that Dung was keen on meeting him and opportunities for investment in tourism and fisheries in the state would be explored.
Manjhi on his part apprised the ambassador of the recent development of tourism and pilgrimage places connected with Buddhism in the state, the communique said.
The Chief Minister also told Thanh about Buddhisht, Sufi and Ramayan circuits created in the state and the facilities being put in place for tourists.
He also assured the ambassador that the state government would take care to provide all facilities to tourists from Vietnam, as well as, other countries, it said.
