"Though the task given to Vijaywargiya is big, I am confident that he will be successful in West Bengal too as he was in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana," Chouhan said, addressing a function to felicitate Vijaywargiya at the state BJP headquarters.
Vijaywargiya is an able organiser and whenever a difficult task is to be done, his name always comes to mind, the Chief Minister said.
Chouhan also recalled that at one time he and Vijaywargiya shared a room when both were party workers, and their families also shared a bond.
A visibley elated Vijaywargiya recalled the contribution of top BJP leaders such as former BJP chief Kushabhau Thakre, Jan Sangh leader Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Narayan Prasad Gupta in making the party strong.
He thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah for entrusting him with the new responsibility.
Vijaywargiya, whose wife hails from West Bengal, also said that he would be able to strengthen the party in that state also with the help of party workers from Madhya Pradesh.
