"Summer Requiem," by the Aleph Book Company is the first stand-alone poetry collection by Seth since his "All You Who Sleep Tonight," that was published in 1990.
The new poems "traces the immutable shifting of seasons, the relentless rhythms of a great world that both 'gifts and harms'," according to publishers.
"Luminous, resonant and profound, these poems trace the dying days of summer, 'the hour of rust' when memory is haunted by loss and decay."
Seth was born and educated in Kolkata and later went to England, California and China.
He has written acclaimed books in several genres, five books of poetry, a verse novel, "The Golden Gate"; a travel book, "From Heaven Lake"; animal fables, "Beastly Tales" and a memoir, "Two Lives".
