Bhim Sen, the Pradhan of Mubarikpur village in Achanera police station area of Agra district, was arrested from a neighbouring village while attempt to nab his brother Dwarika was on, police said.
Both the accused had burnt Pratap Singh of the village on April 8 and dumped the body in a field in Baldeo police station area.
"Bhim Sen has confessed to the killing. With the help of his brother, he had first strangulated Pratap Singh and then set the body on fire. Bhim Sen had borrowed some money from Pratap. Since Pratap had been putting pressure on him to return the money, Bhim Sen hatched the plan to murder him," SP City Shailesh Pandey said.
