Village head arrested for role in communal clash

A local court today sent the headman of Nasirpur village in the district to judicial custody till June 20 for his alleged role in communal clashes there.
The village head, Sabir Ali, was arrested today and charged with attempt to murder and rioting.
One person was killed and six were injured in communal clashes at Nasirpur on June 6.
Eleven people were arrested yesterday in connection with the case. Two of them were charged with murder while the others were charged with attempt to murder and rioting.
