shot dead allegedly by three motorcycle-borne men in Manikpatti village of Sant Ravidas Nagar district.
"Bhagirathi Chaudhari (40) had a heated argument with some people this morning over complaints that mid-day meal was not being prepared in primary school of the village," said Ashok Kumar Shukla, Superintendent of Police.
Later, while Chaudhari was discussing the matter with headmaster of the school, the assailants came and shot at him.
Chaudhari was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to injuries, the SP said.
Attackers have been identified and efforts were on to arrest them, the SP said, adding that the dispute appears to be the cause of crime.
