shot dead a villager at Rahimpur in Bihar's Khagaria district, a police official said.
The armed assailants barged into the house of one Shambhu Kumar Chaudhary and shot at him from close range, the Superintendent of Police (SP) Mithu Prasad said.
The villager died on the spot, he said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
An FIR has been lodged at Mufassil police station charging four persons with Chaudhary's muder, Prasad said.
