Hollywood star Vin Diesel today chose not to comment on US-President elect Donald Trump, who will take the presidential oath the same day his new film "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" releases.
Recently at the Golden Globes, Hollywood icon Meryl Streep criticised Trump in her award acceptance speech.
"xXx: Return of Xander Cage" will hit the American screens on January 20, the same day when Trump will take his oath.
When asked if he agrees with Meryl's views or has a different opinion, Vin told reporters, "I am going to answer that. On January 20 something very important is going to happen in America. And that is the return of Xander."
The actor was speaking at a special press conference held on his maiden visit to India.
Vin said his movie is about global harmony and he had an extremely special time working with Deepika.
"I wanted to work with Deepika since many years. I met her years ago and saw that our chemistry was special. When we started filming 'xXx..', she had one request. She said I would like to do a huge Hollywood premiere.
"The fact that we are here, means we have delivered our promise... Our movie is about global harmony. My pairing with Deepika is evidence of that multi cultural global harmony."
It is the third film in the "xXx" franchise and a sequel to both "xXx" (2002) and "xXx: State of the Union" (2005).
Deepika features in the film as Serena Unger and Vin said it was a challenging role to do but the actress was perfect.
"When we talked to her in the beginning, we were honest that it's going to be a very demanding role because it's so high on action it was apparent from the beginning that she made us really believe she would go to all lengths to play the character.
"The character is like a counterpart to Xander and that's what was very demanding. It was her commitment to do the kind of action there is. It's very hard, she can't mess up otherwise bad things will happen," he added.
The film releases in India on Saturday, a week before the American date.
