The company had posted net profit of Rs 10.42 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
Its total income from operations increased by 5.52 per cent to Rs 307.39 crore in the October-December quarter of 2016-17 as against Rs 291.30 crore in the year-ago period, VIP Industries said in a BSE filing.
Overall expenses of the company rose by 2.90 per cent to Rs 284.70 crore, as against Rs 276.65 crore.
Meanwhile, the Board of Directors of the company have declared an interim dividend of 80 paise per equity share of Rs 2 each for FY 2016-17.
