In the election for the dairy's chairman held at Mehsana, Chaudhary, who was sacked from the this post in March last year, received 13 out of 20 votes to become the next chairman.
Though he has been elected as the chairman today, Chaudhary may have to vacate the post after January 16, as the state government has recently issued an order against him.
Through that order, passed by state registrar of cooperative societies on December 16 last year, Chaudhary has been barred from holding any position in any cooperative society as well as from contesting polls in such societies for a period of six years.
Since the order is yet to come into effect, Chaudhary can hold the post till the mid of January, said registrar of cooperative societies Nalin Upadhyay.

"During this period, if Supreme Court take up the matter and issue a fresh directive in favour of Chaudhary, then our order will become null and void. But, it nothing happens, then Chaudhary has to step down after January 16," said Upadhyay.
After winning the election, Chaudhary hoped for 'Acche Din' (good days) for him and those who are associated with the dairy.
"Just like my good days have come, especially when our Chief Minister Anandiben Patel as well as PM (Modi) belongs to this district (Mehsana), I believe that 'Acche Din' for this dairy and all those who are involved with it will also come in near future," said Chaudhary.
