The project module will initially be used for trainees and it will be released for civilians at a later stage.
The project jointly prepared by the Rajasthan Police and Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (New Delhi), was launched by DGP Omendra Bharadwaj at a function in Rajasthan Police Academy here.
He said that information related with the rights of a complainant, witness and criminals/ accused will also be available on the virtual police station module.
Under it, the police candidates will be trained about at how the various activities in a police station are conducted, the DGP said, adding, that the programme will also groom policeman in the service.
RPA Director B L Soni claimed that Rajasthan is the first state to develop such a module.
He informed that virtual class room and e-learning was being developed by the Rajasthan Police so that candidates can be trained in a technology friendly environment and their skills can be developed.
