Vishal-Shekhar, Shaan to perform during Indian GP

The organisers said they have roped in bollywood music stars to add to the high profile F1 event.

"We are pleased to announce that Vishal-Shekhar and Shaan will perform at the final day of the Grand Prix. It will be a spectacular event of fast cars, style, celebrity, glamour and loud music," Askari Zaidi, Sr Vice President, Corporate Communication, Jaypee Group, said.

The entry to their performance in East Zone of the Buddh International Circuit will be free for spectators with valid race tickets.

Along with Vishal-Shekhar and Shaan, six selected college bands will perform at India's biggest motorsport event through Rock the Race, an JPSI initiative to find talent in the youngsters of the country India.

These bands will be playing in different entertainment zones that will be there all across the circuit.

In the audition round of the Rock the Race which was held in Noida, 20 bands from colleges across Delhi/NCR, Chandigarh and Jaipur participated.

After intense competition, the following six bands of Delhi University colleges qualified: Misba (Guru Gobind Singh College), Stone Age (Hindu College), Yatharth (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology), Bhangra Nights (Venkateswara College), Electric notes, and Verve.
