Visitors to Parliament House complex would henceforth not not be able to take photographs or shoot a video.
An order to this effect has been brought in force through a recent circular.
In the circular, Yogesh Deshmukh, Joint Secretary (Security), Parliament House, has said the complex is "one of the most threatened places" in the country.
The order prohibits photography and shooting of videos in the complex by visitors, officers and staff of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Secretariat, and allied agencies.
Prohibiting photography and video recording is part of the "strategic security arrangements", he said.
He said officers and visitors permitted with mobile phones are also "strictly prohibited" from taking any type of photo or recording video inside the complex.
In July, Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann had triggered a controversy by posting a video on social media of Parliament's security pickets and internal security positions.
