Tata-SIA airline Vistara today said it has tied up with Gurgaon-based Flywings Simulation institute for practical training in Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP) for its pilots and cabin crew.
The state-of-the Flywings Simulator Training Centre (FWSTC) provides aviation training solution to the industry.
"We are pleased to announce our partnership with FWSTC and provide an opportunity to our personnel for undertaking their sophisticated training programmes. Our employees will immensely benefit from FWSTC's practical, in-depth and specialised aviation training solutions to be able to efficiently deliver service excellence," Vistara chief executive Phee Teik yeoh said in a release.
The country's latest full service carrier has been authorised by the aviation regulator DGCA to conduct these trainings with FWSTC.
Vistara's SEP practical training needs will be met as crew will now be able to enhance their knowledge and skills required to efficiently manage any emergency, the company said.
Vistara had earlier been sending their pilots and cabin crew to Singapore Airlines headquarters for these trainings.
"The agreement with Vistara is invaluable... Being the first such training centre in Northern India, we are aiming to reduce the overheads of airlines towards travelling, visa and hotel costs and to ensure immediate availability of cabin crew for operation," FWSTC director Sanjay Mandavia said.
FWSTC offers training emergency exit, cabin emergency evacuation, smoke and live fire, water survival for Airbus A320 planes at their Guragon facility.
