Vistara to induct 10th plane

Domestic carrier Vistara is all set to induct 10th plane into its fleet, which will arrive here from the European aircraft manufacturer Airbus' Toulouse (France) facility tomorrow.
"The 10th aircraft is arriving tomorrow and it will be in service from May 12," an airline spokesperson said.
Vistara, a joint venture between Tata group and Singapore Airlines (SIA), began its operations last January and has so far inducted nine aircraft (Airbus A320s) since September 2014 as part of its plans to have a fleet of 20 aircraft by 2018.
The airline has already announced its plans to deploy the new Airbus A320 aircraft in scaling up frequencies to Goa and Bengaluru from next week.

Vistara will offer three flights a day on Delhi-Bengaluru- Delhi sector and two daily flights on Delhi-Goa route, starting May 12.
Vistara currently offers over 400 weekly flights to 16 domestic destinations--Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Goa, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Srinagar, Jammu, Kochi and Chandigarh.
The Delhi-based full service airline, in which Tata Sons has 51 per cent share and the rest is owned by SIA, carried a total 4.57 lakh passengers in the January-March quarter of previous fiscal, cornering 2 per cent of the market share.
