"Our institute's 23-year-old secretary, Rabia Khan, who is herself blind since birth has prepared the Arabic Braille Quran," Chairman of the Madrasa Noor Research Institute for the Blind Haleem Khan told reporters.
Before India, the Arabic Braille Quran was earlier published in countries like Pakistan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia.
Khan said that the Arabic Braille version of the Quran would be unveiled on the 21st Roza (fast) of the ongoing Ramzan month on July 20.
Rabia published the text after 10 months of hard labour and it is expected to open up new vistas for visually- challenged students.
