The mid-price smartphone segment (devices priced Rs 15,000- 20,000) is estimated to be about 15 per cent of the overall India smartphone market.
"We are more focussed on the customer experience and value rather than the volumes. While we have devices priced sub-Rs 10,000, we are focussing on the Rs 15,000-20,000 range and we will introduce more devices," vivo CEO India Alex Feng told PTI.
The company, which introduced its first handset in India in December last year, is aiming to sell about two million smartphones in the country this year.
