The event got an overwhelming response with over 4,000 students from 80 schools including 280 special children of Visakhapatnam visiting the ships, according to a Navy release issued today.
The students were taken on a guided tour of the ships and briefed about the diverse weapons and equipment fitted on board.
A career counselling cell was also setup where the students were explained on various entry schemes to join Indian Navy, the release added.
INS Rajput, a guided missile destroyer, is loaded with state of the art sensors and weapons, designed for multi-dimensional combat operations.
