Santosh Kumar of VPT secured first place in 100m and 400m events at the All India Major Ports Athletics Championship being held at VPT Diamond Jubilee Outdoor Stadium.
N Syam Sundar, also of VPT, stood first in shot put.
In 1500m, K J Joyson of Cochin Port Trust emerged the winner, clinching the race in 4.44.04 minutes.

100m (men) Santosh Kumar (VPT) first (11.70 seconds); R K Layak (Paradip) second (12.20 seconds) and Salva Kumar (Mumbai) third (12.30 seconds).
Women (100m): Alphonsa Royan (Chennai) first (15.30 seconds); Swati R Patil (Mumbai) second (15.40 seconds); Jency T T (VPT); third (15.70 seconds).
Women (400m): Alphonsa Royan (Chennai) first (1.18.00); Swati Patil (Mumbai) second) (1.27.40) and Ujwala Nikalje (JNPT) third (1.46.00)
