German auto major Volkswagen on Monday reported a 6.75% increase in sales in India at 4,301 units in July.
The company had sold 4,029 units in the same month last year, Volkswagen said in a statement.
The brand has succeeded in drawing Indian car buyers' attention by launching its made-for-India and made-in-India Ameo, which began deliveries in July 2016, it added.
"Volkswagen today has an enhanced product presence in the Indian car market across categories and consumers will now have a wider choice with Volkswagen to experience a fun drive ahead of the upcoming festive season," it added.
