Voltas inks JV with Dow to market water treatment systems

Tata group company Voltas has formed a 50:50 joint venture with Dow Chemical Pacific (Singapore) Pte to market and distribute standard packaged water treatment systems and waste water treatment systems.
Voltas Water Solutions Private Ltd, the proposed JV (joint venture), would tap the growing Water and Waste Water treatment market in the country, the Tata group firm said today in a statement.
Dow Chemical Pacific (Singapore) Pte is a member of the Dow Group.
The JV would market and distribute water treatment systems to residential and commercial complexes and light industrial markets in the Indian market.
Commenting on the development, Global Business Leader for the water and process solutions division of Dow Group Snehal said:" This joint venture is a significant step towards further strengthening our position in mid-market water systems in India."
Voltas Managing Director Sanjay Johri said: "With its unrivalled know-how and technological leadership in the water treatment space, the partnership, will help Voltas Water Solutions cater to the growing water treatment requirements of the Indian subcontinent".
