Vote on account passed in Karnataka Assembly
Press Trust of India Bangalore Vote on account for the period till July 31 was passed in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly today. Replying to the budget discussion, Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar announced that the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board would spend Rs 300 crore on infrastructure development. He also said the Government would allot Rs 50 crore for the welfare and development of nomadic tribes. Shettar also elaborated on various budget proposals. The opposition Congress and JDS staged a walkout from the House, saying they were not satisfied with the government's reply.
