Voting hours extended in 3 cities in Maha in view of heat wave
Press Trust of India Mumbai After the IMD issued a warning of heat wave in Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra for the next few days, the State Election Commission today announced extension of voting hours during elections to Parbhani, Latur and Chandrapur municipal corporations.
The polling for these three local bodies will take place on April 19.
Instead of the usual 5.30 pm deadline, the voting will end at 6.30 pm, an official release said here.
There will be no change in voting hours in elections to municipal corporations of Mira Bhayandar, Bhiwandi and Panvel.
The counting will take place on April 21.
