"Tharoor has to answer the questions that have come up in the wake of Sunanda Pushakar's death," the nonagenarian leader said while addressing a campaign meeting of CPI candidate Bennet Abraham at Parassala near here.
"Sunanda died within three years of her marriage with Tharoor...Doctors and police officials had said after the post mortem that she had injury marks on her body.. Who is responsible for this ?..It is for Tharoor to clear the doubts thrown up by the report," Achuthanandan said.
Burying the hatchet with his bete noire and CPI-M state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, Achuthanandan has been active in the LDF campaign for the April 10 Lok Sabha polls.
A crowd-puller, Achuthandan's presence has been sought by LDF contestants all over the state.
