Accusing BJP-led Madhya Pradesh Government of "toying with dreams" of scores of job aspirants in Madhya Pradesh, Congress today staged protest seeking Supreme Court-monitored probe in Vyapam scam and deaths of people allegedly associated with it here.
Indian Youth Congress (IYC) also reiterated Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to resign from the post.
"Dreams of job aspirants were toyed with in Madhya Pradesh. Somebody wanted to be doctor, engineer, management trainee, police constable, etc. Their dreams have been toyed with. Those who are associated with the scam be sent to jail.
"Modi sarkar and Shivraj Singh Chouhan sarkar fulfil dreams of only those who have money," accused Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala while addressing the protesters.
Party leader Meenakshi Natarajan demanded Chouhan's resignation and reiterated Congress' stand of CBI probe under the supervision of judiciary into the matter.
The Congress leaders also accused Chouhan of being "aware" of the scam taking place in the state.
Besides Surjewala and Natarajan, IYC chief Amrinder Singh Raja Brar, NSUI president Roji John and other office-bearers also took part in the rally.
Police resorted to use of water canon to disperse Congressmen and detained IYC members including Raja Brar.
