wage revision between hosiery manufacturers and trade unions remained inconclusive today at Tirupur, as unions wanted more percentage of increase than offered.
The talks were held this morning between representatives of six manufacturers' associations and leaders of eight trade unions, under joint action committee, in which the former offered 15 per cent wage increase in the first year and three per cent in the second, third and fourth years, S Duraisamy, president of the committee said.
However, rejecting the offer, the unions demanded more increase, resulting the talks in failure, without arriving at any settlement, Duraisamy said.
