The hospital has been cordoned off by security forces as desperate kin attempt to rush in.
Personnel of Rapid Action Force (RAF) and district police have been manning the entrance of the Emergency ward of PMCH where victims of stampede have been brought.
Inspector General of Police Kundan Krishnan, DIG Ajitabh Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj and Patna Commissioner N Vijaylakshmi are present at the PMCH to supervise the security arrangement.
"They are not letting me inside the Emergency ward to locate my mother and wife," a wailing Gupta said.
