A total of 5.90 lakh WSHGs will get the benefit between 2013-14 to 2016-17 fiscal for economic development programmes.
Altogether 1.10 lakh WSHGs will get the benefit in the 2013-14, 1.35 lakh in 2014-15, 1.6 lakh in 2015-16 and 1.85 lakh WSHGs in 2016-17, an official statement said after approval of the proposal by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
The state government also sanctioned Rs 24.49 crore for Mission Yuva Shakti of which Rs 15.86 crore was earmarked for micro enterprise, Rs 5.02 crore for exposure tours of SHG members and panchayat representatives and Rs 2.19 crore for payment of honorarium to volunteers of Adarsh Gram Vikash and finance literacy.
