In restricted activity, walnut and its kernel prices fell in the national capital today owing to slackened demand at prevailing higher levels.
However, other dry fruits moved in a narrow range on alternate bouts of trading and settled around previous levels.
Traders said slackened demand from stockists and retailers at higher levels against sufficient supplies mainly helped walnut and its kernel prices to trade lower.
Walnut weakened by Rs 5 to Rs 215-315 per 40 kg and its kernel traded lower by similar margin to Rs 670-865 per kg.
The following are today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 18,400 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,400-4,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 640-665 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-550 per kg.
