Gandhi said he could feel the pain of the widows of farmers as he himself was the son of a widow.
"I can feel the pain of women who have lost their men as I am also a son of a widow," Gandhi said at Sihani Chungi area here.
Addressing his supporters, the BJP leader said that he will meet the kin of the farmer's family in Bijnor who had recently committed suicide and handover his three month salary as an ex-gratia amount to help out his family members.
"Earlier, the farmers of Vidarbha and Telangana used to end their lives out of indebtedness or due to failure of their crops but now it is happening at our door steps in Uttar Pradesh," the MP said.
